Tablet XI
Conections
This was the longest tablet we've read so far and we could call it the third adventure in the book. First being the struggle through the forest to kill Huwawa, second being Gilgamesh going through the darkness. When Gilgamesh enters the garden he is recieved by an inmortal named Utnapishtim who used to be mortal and has now become a God. He tells him a story that could easily be compared to "noahs ark" a story that was written later in the bible. We can infer that most likely the people who wrote the bible might have taken some morals from the book of Gilgamesh. It also uses the number 7 when saying how long it took to build the ark. We can also see the number 7 appearing multiple times in the bible when according to the old testament God creates the world in 7 days.
I can also relate personally to Gilgamesh when he looses the plant and he has to seek it again, as this can compare to doing a project and forgetting to save to have it all deleted when the light goes out.

Gilgamesh Blog reading and Questions I
Sorry for not posting these up Earlier, I thought i posted them
but they were saved in drafts
Tablets 1 - 3
This story reminds me a lot of Adam and Eve. Enkidu to me reminds me of Adam as he is a wild man, that, according to the story he has a lot of hair and he doesn't know the ways of the man. The prostitute can be compared to eve as she was the one that introduced him into the world of man and sin.
Tablets 4- 5
Tablets 4-5 remind me of The Hunger Games and in a weird way Ender's Game.
Even though Enkidu and Gilgamesh had already set off into the Cedar forest, they talk about it the most in these chapters and it reminds me of the Hunger Games. I can just imagine the forest as the one in the hunger games. Also for some reason I thought of the part where Ender is training to be in a forest. It reminded me of this place and it gave me a nice visual in my mind.
Tablets 6 -7
Becuase of Enkidu killing the Bull of heaven he has a dream that there is a counsil in the God world and all the Gods finally choose his faith, he is going to die. His best friend Gilgamesh can not possibly believe this is true. He grieves for his friend. This reminds me of the Tv Show Spartacus when spartacus is sentenced to death and he survives; however, in this story Enkidu does not have the fortune of surviving. It is also comparable because his friend also grieves for him, even after he won.
